The Ambassador of the Popular Republic of China met the prime
minister, 13 June 2006
The prime minister called the Ambassador of the Popular Republic
of China (PRC) to meet at the Government Palace.
The prime minister request the support of PRC on the next United
Nations Security Council meeting, concerning the UNOTIL mandate
extension and the next UN mission in Timor-Leste. The Chinese
Ambassador assured the commitment of PRC to support the Security
Council's decisions that best serves Timor-Leste.
Also the prime minister talked about the extension, after August,
of the Chinese medical team in Timor-Leste (14 elements) and show's
his appreciation to them and their high medical skills.
